The Centurion is at the centre of the Vicars Cross Community and is very much part of its social and cultural heart.

It is very much a pub owned and run by the Community for the Community. By purchasing the pub, we have secured its future for the local community. Our vision is to continue developing a sustainable community-owned business that is inclusive, has a reputation for good customer service, and contributes to a vibrant and thriving Vicars Cross.

This was made possible following our success in our bid to the Community Ownership Fund, where we were awarded a grant of £250,000 towards the purchase of the pub. We couldn't have done it without our fantastic local community who bought shares and donated towards the purchase cost.

There are regular weekly quiz nights. We have 5 screens with Sky and BT Sports showing all major sporting events. Wealso have regular live music - check out the whats on section for further details of upcoming events.

The Centurion offers a range of social opportunities for all age groups of the local community and is the only fully licensed facility in Vicars Cross.

There are a wide range of beers, including cask ales from a number of local Brewers. We also have a food menu available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - please see our menu section for further details.

We are able to accommodate birthday and christening parties, funeral wakes, coffee mornings, group meetings for local associations such as Scouts, Football teams and School PTA’s.
